MTP®/MPO Harness Cables:
MTP®/MPO harness cables (aka. breakout cables or fanout cables) are terminated with a female/male MTP®/MPO connector on one end and 4/6/8/12 duplex LC/FC/SC/ST connectors on the other end, such as 8-fiber MTP®/MPO to 4 LC harness cables and 12-fiber MTP®/MPO to 6 LC harness cables. Typically, these breakout cables are ideal for short-range 10G–40G and 25G–100G direct connections or for connecting backbone assemblies to a rack system in high-density backbone cabling.
MTP MPO cables deliver the higher bandwidth needed for high-def conferencing and HDTV configurations. We offer a variety of MTP cables in several types and lengths. MPO stands for "multi-fiber push on." MPO cables have a higher port density, meaning you pull one cable with 8 fibers! MTP is a brand name for an MPO connector, but the two acronyms are often used interchangeably.
The MPO fiber cable connector utilizes precision-molded MT ferrules, featuring metal guide pins and precise housing dimensions to ensure precise fiber alignment during mating. Our MPO fiber cables can be mass-terminated in configurations ranging from 4 to 48 fiber ribbon cables, providing versatility to suit various application needs. Optional lengths are also available to accommodate specific requirements.
